Welcome to my music website – and welcome to this blog.
The website is designed as a destination for everyone who wants to follow my musical journey. I’ll continue to use social media, but lots of people aren’t on Facebook or Instagram or whatever. I often find that when I tell inquiring minds to watch Homestyle Acoustic (my Facebook business page) for upcoming shows, they reply, “I don’t do Facebook.” So kirkwesslermusic.com is here for all of you.
My priorities in creating this site:
Keep you up to speed on my performance schedule.
Provide a reliable and consistent video experience.
Have some fun sharing my “Reinvention Tour.”
Give promoters and venue owners a good place to check me out and book me.
As for this blog, well, I’ve always been a writer. And writers write. I can’t imagine having a website without a special space to write.
So, I’ll use the blog to write what’s on my mind. Could be about new songs I’m writing, projects in the works, joys, sorrows, successes, failures, ideas, random musings … This is a website dedicated to music, so everything I write on the blog will tie to music in some fashion. Sometimes the tie might be subtle; even invisible, in which case you might have to think about it. But don’t think too hard, because here’s the truth: Everything in the universe can be put to music.
As I write this welcome post, I already see half a dozen ideas for future posts. This is gonna be fun!
Two more things before I sign off today.
First, I have to give mad props to Emily Antonacci, who built this site for me. Emily is a young and brilliant songwriter, singer and musician. If you aren’t already a fan of her music, check out Emily The Band, and you will be.
Thanks, Emily, for being a friend and one of those people who seems to walk through life with a permanent smile. And thanks for handling the techie part of this project that’s beyond the scope of an impatient, tech-challenged old guy.
Second, to everyone else reading: Share the link to this site with your friends, and keep coming back!
Nice website! I like your blog idea...looking forward for more, plus enjoyed your release of "Under this Flag". 😀
Love the blog and EPK packaged within the website! Excellent work, Kirk and Emily! 🚀✨
